I can say that this album is a late discovery for me, and some of my favorite current metal projects are logical extensions of what Wrest has already done. Answers the question of where Krallice would go after "Years Past Matter." Completely unclassifiable, the songs are simultaneously compact and complex. The playing and musicanship is breathtaking... "Wastes of Ocean" into "Over Spirit" being a prime example. It must also be said that Mick Barr is a badass motherfucker all over this album. "Agony in collective ignorance/Called upon by thyself/Thyself being a part of all life/In the sickness/Quarantined in pure paranoia" Pretty prophetic, right?
